The man observed that the kitten probably didn’t belong to anyone living nearby, as most of the properties were vacation homes and unoccupied at the moment.
Derek and Claire searched for the kitten’s owner in the vicinity, but to no avail. They couldn’t leave the poor creature on its own, knowing it would soon succumb to hunger. That’s when they decided to take matters into their own hands. The feline showed its gratitude by clinging to Claire in desperation as if begging her to save him. Fortunately, he quickly grew fond of the couple and adjusted well to their camper. As Claire puts it, “I scooped him up, and before I knew it, he was already snoozing in my arms.”
