Luka Modric has encouraged Guler to perform his best when he eventually debuts for Real Madrid in front of the fans. Guler underwent a knee surgery shortly after joining the club this summer and suffered another setback last month, requiring another operation. As a result, he is yet to start this season.
Guler was absent during Turkey’s game against Croatia where Modric played. However, he has returned to training and is putting in a lot of effort to finally start playing. Upon seeing Guler in training, Modric had nothing but kind words for the 18-year-old. He expressed his admiration for Guler’s eagerness to learn and improve, as well as his impressive skills. Modric is excited to be working with him in the future.
Regrettably, the young player sustained an injury upon arriving in Madrid. Although he had recovered, he may have been too eager to impress the team and re-injured himself. Recently, I advised him to remain patient and proceed cautiously. As a young athlete, he has plenty of time to demonstrate his exceptional abilities to the fans of Madrid.
